It was a significant day for Honda India as they unveiled their long-awaited midsize SUV, the Honda Elevate. With this new addition to their lineup, Honda aims to compete with popular models such as the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Volkswagen Taigun, Skoda Kushaq, and the upcoming Citroen C3 Aircross. Honda has also released a new TV commercial highlighting the bold exterior design and key features of the Elevate.

The commercial emphasizes the Honda Elevate's positioning as an urban SUV, evident in its modern aesthetics and features. The SUV showcases a striking exterior design with an upright stance and boxy profile. The front grille is bold and black, complemented by sleek headlamp housings featuring all-LED headlamps and daytime running LEDs. The triangular black housings for the LED fog lamps add a touch of style to the front bumper, which also features body cladding and a silver faux skid plate.

The overall front fascia of the Honda Elevate draws inspiration from Honda's global SUVs like the Pilot and HR-V. Moving to the side profile, the SUV maintains the upright and boxy design language with body cladding on the wheel arches and lower door panels, giving it a rugged appearance. The 17-inch machined alloy wheels, door-mounted rearview mirrors, and silver roof rails further enhance its visual appeal. The commercial showcases a dual-tone paint scheme with a blacked-out roof and rearview mirrors, likely to be available in higher-spec trims.

At the rear, the Honda Elevate carries the same bold approach with sleek combination tail lamps featuring LED inserts. The boot lid includes a license plate housing, while the rear windscreen has a raked design and a roof spoiler on top. Similar to the front, the rear bumper comes with body cladding and a silver skid plate.

Although the commercial doesn't reveal the interior, it is confirmed that the Honda Elevate will feature dual-tone black and brown leather upholstery. The SUV will come equipped with notable features such as a 7-inch TFT screen in the instrument console, a new 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, automatic climate control, push start-stop button, lane watch camera, six airbags, and Level-2 ADAS called ‘Honda Sensing’.

Currently, the Honda Elevate is available with a single petrol powertrain, a 1.5-liter four-cylinder naturally-aspirated engine shared with the Honda City. This engine delivers a maximum power output of 121 bhp and a peak torque output of 145 Nm. Buyers can choose between a 6-speed manual transmission or a CVT. Bookings for the Honda Elevate have already begun at Honda dealerships nationwide, with the official launch expected in the coming weeks.
